Information on Importation of Vehicles

The following information was simply copied from a customs guide book, but it was not meant to be easy reading.  One gets the impression that they don't want you to know actual cost, that there is some other conspiracy going on, other than gauging out your pockets.  If it doesn't make sense to you, don't be surprised.  The best route would be to hire a reputable clearing agent and pay their fee instead of all the hidden fees that will surface if you deal directly with customs.  A short list of clearing agents are:

  • Compact- (233-302) 772-632 www.compactmovers.com

  • Adom Shipping & Trading Co.- (233-303) 210-405 or 213-241

  • Delmas Agencies- (233-303) 202-332

  • Ewald Gh. Ltd- (233-303) 204-669 or 213-688

  • Toti-Berg Freight- (233-303) 211-152
