March 25, 2007,
we Selah-Brated Empress Menen's Earth light in grand fashion. A gathering
of families were called to convene at the Empress Quarters, Lions Den. Up
in the mountains, on a spacious compound, where both children and
adults were able to free up and enjoy a lovely vibe.

Food
was the first order of the day. Our chefs made sure to provide all
itals, with a menu so splendid, the feast was inevitable: Soy burgers,
soy kebabs,
Salad,
Rice n Peas,
Jolof,
Sorrel,
Pineapple Juice,
Roots &
Kaya.

The youth even participated in the entertainment. Here DJ Marcus
rides a riddim chatting about Mathematics and Science and Fiyah fi all
Batti Man! (The youth dem rough.)

The
babes, the teens and the elders were all in attendance to enjoy an ila
sip, in good company.
|
|
But
most importantly, I n I families were there, to embrace the love that is
often missed due to the hustle and bustle of life's daily routines.
This day, Empress Menen's Earth Light, we united, broke bread and gave
thanks for life so wonderful. |
The coordinator, Empress Imara, and her partner in works, Ras Aswad, probably planning next
year's event.
